Welcome to San Diego!  As the country's second largest Navy town, and home to more than 1,500 Notre Dame alumni, San Diego is a natural fit to host this year's game.  Add to that our first-in-class craft beer industry, mouth-watering taco shops, and abundant sunshine ... we can't wait to share our home with you!!!

Thursday, october 25

10:00am:  Notre Dame-Navy Golf Tourney  |  Riverwalk Golf Club :: 1150 Fashion Valley Road

  • Shotgun start

Fleet Week Military Ship Tours | Broadway Pier :: 1000 N Harbor Drive

  • Tours of US Navy and US Coast Guard ships will be available during Fleet Week 2018 on a first come, first served basis.

  • Open to the public, visitors must be at least 5 years old to tour ships; strollers, glass, large bags and backpacks will not be permitted on-board.

  • Ships for touring:

    • USCGC Mellon (US Coast Guard)

    • US Navy Ship TBA soon!

Community Service Event / Mass with (Rev.) Brian Kelly | NAS North Island, Coronado

While Coach Brian Kelly prepares our men for gameday, San Diego's favorite Brian Kelly--Rev. Brian Kelly--will be preparing us spiritually!  What better way to start your day than to tell your friends that you saw Brian Kelly at Mass!!!

  • 9:30-10:15am: Beach clean up

  • 10:30-11:15am: Mass on Breakers Beach

Please note, these events are scheduled to take place on an active military base.  Due to heightened security, advanced registration is required.

10:00am: Side by Side 5k Run/Walk benefitting Life Perspectives | De Anza Cove, Mission Bay

The Side by Side 5K at De Anza Cove is a great way to kick off game day on Saturday, October 27th. Start your morning with a brisk walk or run along beautiful Mission Bay with friends and family while supporting a great cause. The event benefits Life Perspectives, a nonprofit that provides hope and healing for men and women impacted by pregnancy loss. The Side by Side 5K is the perfect way to let those who may be hurting to know that they are not alone. Notre Dame alum Cort Peters '96 will be on hand to lead the crowd in a pre-race warm-up, plus enjoy live music, prizes, and local vendors.

Notre Dame alumni and friends can use the code: VIP18 for a $10 discount.

The ND Club of San Diego will be hosting the official pre-game tailgate party of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish!!!

  • Game Stations: Corn hole, washers, oversized Jenga, dunk tank, etc.

  • Meet the Leprechaun and ND cheerleaders (exact time TBD)

rivalry highlights

2017: Navy gave Notre Dame everything it could handle, but the Fighting Irish send their seniors off with a 24-17 win.

2016: Navy beats Notre Dame 28-27 in the nation's longest-running intersectional rivalry, the Midshipmen's fourth victory since 1963.

2015: #15 Notre Dame takes down a previously unbeaten Navy team 41-24.

2014: Notre Dame defeats Navy 49-39.

2013: The Fighting Irish beat Navy 38-34 at Notre Dame Stadium.

2012: The Irish win the first game of the 2012 season 50-10 against Navy at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
